wellll....
crappo... tons of things to do and handed up on monday... concert attendance, harmony portfloio, moa portfolio, history presentation portfolio, sas portfolio, string studies self-reflection, and playing for a handful of composers... haiz... why must nafa ask us to do some totally unnecessary stufffs? i think its rubbish....
well, my uncle told me that i should quit syo... he said that i will not learn anything there.. if i were to join an orchestra, i should join pco or something... well, i enjoy syo... my friends are there, and i sure did learn lots of stuffs there.. in fact, almost more than 90% of my orchestra experience came from there since i started in sec 2... i guess i have learnt what i must now, and maybe i should quit... well, if i were to quit, i will be quitting after this coming concert... i hope it will be a memorable one... as i was on the bus back home just now from school, i was smiling to myself.. haha.. mad it seems... i was thinking of the things we had in the cello section when we were together... it was fun... just as the rehearsal was just now... well, in a way... and besides, i would be missing the aberdeen trip next year... *sigh* i guess i'm not destined to follow syo on any of their tours... i sure did miss the vienna trip.. i practiced so hard for it, but i guess they already prepared the result before the audition... a few other people are leaving too... charlotte, wilbur, ruo lin, andris <--- of all people... haha... and i wonder who will be principal when she leaves? cant wait to find out! i guess there will never be another principal like her... maybe adriel? ahaha.. probably.. or most probably lenard... well, if we leave, all the old generation will be gone from the cello section.. sad... but its gonna happen sooner or later... oh wells... this is perhaps the will of God? after i quit syo, i would be able to attend service as usual, without being late, and definitely able to attend caregroups on thursday evenings, which is not possible now that i have syo from 7-9... all these are about to change...
aniwaes, i was playing for a bunch of composers for their composition exam yesterday, and i was using my uncle's cello.. WOOT!! the sound is great, the sound projection is goooood, and the positions are darn comfortable!! i want that cello!!! but, what are the chances that he will give it to me? =.=
so once i played the first piece, wei ping rushed over to me and said "you must use that cello for your exam!".. yea, i wish i could.. lets see what my uncle has to say about it first yea? so i guess i did quite well for the exam (i hope), cause alan was also saying that the cello sounded great, compared to mine... however i'm suspecting that it is just the strings... coz my cello really need a new set of strings, the oldest string being the c string, for roughly a year or so already... !!! and its mouldy... so, i'll have to wait and get a new set before i can conclude anything.. but the cello itself definitely has a part of its sound...
well, after the exam, dr goh sent me an sms saying "thanks for playing for the compo students... you have a good heart..." well, i guess its no problem... i know the feeling of asking for help and not getting it, so it is my nature to help with what i can... but sometimes, some people can go too far... but so far, its ok... another 5 or 6 more to go on monday i think? maybe... i should be able to survive, considering that we have tons of portfolios to hand up... *groan*
meanwhile, i'll use my uncle's cello as often as possible... muahaha.... he loaned it to sarah so that she can use it for recording.. the school's cello is horrible... thats all i can say about it... cant expect much for a school cello... you cant expect a school to pay more than $10000 for a cello for general use... so, i guess that will have to do...
